Operation Christmas Child

Share the joy of Christ with a child this Christmas by taking part in Operation Christmas Child. Each year Bellwether families and individuals show their support of this global mission project by sending numerous boxes to children in need. Our youth will be packing boxes on November 10. Please prayerfully consider packing a box (or boxes) as a family and commit to praying for the child who will receive that as his or her only gift this Christmas. For many children it will be there first gift EVER. Our drop off dates for boxes are November 3, November 10, and November 17th.

Pick up a brochure at the family table or visit to learn more about how to pack a box. If you have any questions, contact Ginger Whitwell at

Kairos Women’s Ministry Opportunity

Christmas is just around the corner, and once again, we are asking for your help. We want to reach out to those who are away from their families during this blessed holiday season. We want to give a bag, with love from God’s people, to every A&B custody inmate at Central MS Correctional Facility for Christmas. Our needs are clear deodorant, clear shampoo, white athletic socks (Crew), and hard candy, all to be placed in a clear zip lock bag. Please contact Cherry Duckworth at (601) 941-9103 or if you have any questions. We will begin to accept items Sunday, November 3 until the end of November and will have a labeled box to place your gift in on Sunday morning services and Wednesday night services.

November Feed the Need Ministry

Q: What is it?
A: This ministry is designed to give you an opportunity to prepare meals for your family and families in need.

Q: What do I have to do?
A: You have to pay $135 and commit to prepping a cooking item (cooking chicken, chopping onions, etc.). You also commit 4-5 hours on November 16th to spend putting the meals together.

Q: How does this feed families in need?
A: We will prepare ten meals per family. You will leave two meals behind for our needs freezer. Those meals will be given to those in need or crisis.

Q: Can my child participate?
A: If your child is capable of following a recipe and measuring food items, they are welcome to join us as a helper.

Q: I don’t really want the meals, but I do want to help with this ministry. What can I do?
A: You can donate all ten of your meals to the freezer. You can sponsor a mom who might not have the money right now. You can help with grocery shopping or just show up the day of and be an extra set of hands.

Q: I like to help behind the scenes. Does this ministry need help like that?
A: Yes! There are many ways that you can help behind the scenes. Meal planning, price comparison and grocery shopping are three examples.

Q: What are we going to cook?
A: Every month will be different, but the November menu is below:
Poppyseed Chicken
Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches
White Chicken Chili
Baked Potato Soup
Taco Pie
Cincinnati Chili
Brunswick Stew
Black Bean Soup with Shredded Pork
Vegetable Beef Soup
